🔥 ROAST ME

How the roast works

  1. 📄

    Drop it

Text is pulled out in your browser. The file never leaves your device.

  2. 🔥

    Get roasted

AI scores you 0-100 and quotes your own clichés back at you.

  3. 📸

    Flex or fix

Share the card, or quietly apply the fixes and come back stronger.

Real questions

Is it free?

Yes — 3 free roasts a day with no signup. A free account raises that to 25 a day. The AI call has a real cost for us, so the daily cap keeps the feature sustainable.

Is my resume uploaded or stored?

Your PDF is parsed locally in your browser. Only the extracted plain text is sent to our AI provider for scoring, with zero data retention — it is never stored or used for training.

How is the score calculated?

The AI reviews your resume like a hiring manager: impact, quantified results, structure, clarity and clichés. 90+ is exceptional, 75 is solid, 60 is mediocre, below 40 needs work.

Why is it so mean?

Because recruiters are. The roasts are comedic but every one points at a real weakness — and each report comes with concrete fixes you can apply in minutes.

It says my PDF has too little text — why?

Your resume is probably a scanned image without a text layer. Run it through our free OCR tool first, then come back for the roast.

Scoring methodology

Last reviewed 2026-08-02

The AI is instructed to score five categories independently and add them into a 100-point result. The comedy changes the delivery, not the categories used for the score.

Impact and quantified results

Outcomes, scale, numbers and evidence of what changed because of the candidate.

30 points

Role relevance and specificity

Specific responsibilities, skills and achievements that help a reader judge role fit.

25 points

Structure and scannability

Information hierarchy, section order, density and how quickly key evidence can be found.

20 points

Clarity and concision

Direct language, readable bullets, useful context and removal of avoidable repetition.

15 points

Credibility and cliché control

Evidence-backed claims, internal consistency and avoidance of unsupported buzzwords.

10 points

What this score cannot tell you

  • This is not an ATS pass prediction and does not test a specific employer’s screening system.
  • The score does not predict hiring outcomes, interviews, compensation or job performance.
  • The reviewer does not receive a job description, so it cannot measure fit for a particular vacancy.
  • Formatting that is not preserved in extracted PDF text may be assessed incompletely.
  • AI output can vary between runs; use the score as editing feedback, not an objective credential.
  • The tool cannot verify whether claims, dates, employers or qualifications are true.
