1. Acceptance of these terms

By using 1PDF ("the Service", operated at 1pdf.best), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

2. What the Service is

1PDF provides browser-based PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert, sign, OCR and more). All document processing runs locally in your web browser — your files are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose the optional Pro cloud storage feature. The Service is offered as a free, ad-supported tier and an optional paid Pro subscription.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process content you have no right to use.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts to abuse the Service (for example, mass-scraping pages or circumventing rate limits).
• Misrepresent the Service or its output as coming from another provider.

Because processing happens on your own device, you are solely responsible for the documents you choose to process and for complying with the laws that apply to them.

4. Your content

Your documents remain entirely yours. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over any file you process with the Service. Files you optionally save to Pro cloud storage are stored solely to provide that feature to you, are never accessed for any other purpose, and are deleted at the end of the retention period or when you delete them.

5. Pro subscriptions and billing

Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record — Creem handles payment collection, sales tax and VAT compliance, invoices, and refunds on our behalf.

• Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time. After canceling, Pro features remain available until the end of the paid period, and no further charges are made.
• Refunds: we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee — if you are not satisfied within 7 days of purchase, contact us for a full refund.
• Price changes: any future price change will be announced in advance and will only apply to subsequent billing periods.

6. Accounts

An account is only required for Pro features. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself — its code, design, brand, and text content — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or any substantial part of it without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every PDF operation will succeed on every file.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or USD 50 if you have not made any payment).
