1. Acceptance of these terms
By using 1PDF (“the Service”, operated at 1pdf.best), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted on this page, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
2. What the Service is
1PDF provides browser-based PDF tools including merge, split, compress, convert, sign, and OCR, plus opt-in AI document tools. Core processing runs locally in your browser. Original PDF files are not uploaded unless you explicitly choose Pro cloud storage. When you start an AI task, extracted document text and your instruction are sent to third-party AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy. The Service includes a free, ad-supported tier and optional paid subscriptions.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service.
Because processing happens on your own device, you are solely responsible for the documents you choose to process and for complying with the laws that apply to them.
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process content you have no right to use.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Do not use automated scripts to abuse the Service, mass-scrape pages, or circumvent rate limits.
- Do not misrepresent the Service or its output as coming from another provider.
4. Your content
Your documents remain yours. We claim no ownership, license, or rights over files you process with the Service. Files you optionally save to Pro cloud storage are stored only to provide that feature and are deleted at the end of the retention period or when you delete them. Text submitted to an AI feature is processed to return the requested result, subject to the third-party provider terms identified in the Privacy Policy.
5. Pro subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Creem, the merchant of record, which handles payment collection, sales tax and VAT compliance, invoices, and refunds on our behalf.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time. Paid features remain available until the end of the paid period, and no further charges are made.
- Refunds: we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. Contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Price changes: future price changes will be announced in advance and apply only to subsequent billing periods.
6. Accounts
An account is required for paid and AI features, but not for local tools. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service itself, including its code, design, brand, and text content, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the Service or a substantial part of it without permission.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every PDF operation will succeed on every file. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and must not be treated as professional legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for a claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50 if you made no payment.
